Same here. DT 3.9.6 & Sonoma 14.3.1. Same error. Dragging from Apple Mail into DT window of open folder. Has always worked in the past, including on Sonoma.

mdbraber: So my workaround would be to manually disable / enable the smart rule when needed. With apps like BetterTouchTool or Keyboard Maestro you can at least automate this.

What would be the purpose of automating this via KM or BTT? There’s already a command – Data > Launch URL – and a shortcut available. Also, the smart rule I suggested does what the OP is describing.
