As well as all the new neck and arm pain we will be creating for ourselves, I see little mention of the problem of vision and headaches. I suspect partly because women experience headaches twice as frequently as men, so it’s perhaps not on tech minds as much. But eye problems are pretty much universal and almost half the world now needs some kind of vision correction (it’s actually a weird pandemic where human vision is declining, but that’s a separate topic).
Anyway back to my point, just thinking about using the Vision Pro gives me a headache I already have to be careful with my screens to avoid headaches, and using those “goggles” for prolonged periods seems like a recipe for headaches, floating spots and poor vision. (I would also query how comfortable the goggles can actually be for multi-hour use.)
