FWIW, I don’t try to maintain my research database in Scrivener, and I don’t try to write in DevonThink. Which naturally means that I’m a bit puzzled by people who do.
I can certainly see the appeal. But when, in the history of computing, has that kind of Swiss Army knife design actually worked? In my own experience, at least, there are far more examples of programs that became less stable and more difficult to use as they tried to satisfy more and more user requirements.
