I’m not interested in getting one (now…) but I saw some of the videos by Apple and some reviewers. My impression is that pointing is done with the eyes and the equivalent of “clicking” is done with a gesture with your fingers. The latter is detected optically and they stressed that camera has a wide enough view that it will work with your hands in your lap. I have no idea how reliable and accurate the eye tracking is, though.
